Who, How and When

The West Edinburgh Link is one of the winners of Sustrans Scotland’s 2017 Community Links PLUS competition, now known as Places for Everyone. Places for Everyone is an opportunity to conceptualise, design and deliver exemplary and inspirational walking, cycling and placemaking projects in Scotland.

Who’s behind the project and how is it funded?

The project is match funded by the Scottish Government and the City of Edinburgh Council.

Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle.

The national transport agency for Scotland funds Places for Everyone through Sustrans Scotland.

Aecom are the design consultants.

Meet the team

We are holding public drop-in events about the proposed public space improvements. Here you can meet the team and ask questions about this aspect of the project. The information on display at each event is specific to that location, for example the Bughtlin Market event will only have information about the proposed public space improvements for Bughtlin Market.
